Ben’s comedy blends his family’s experience as Russian Jewish immigrants in America with his philosophical beliefs, political observations and unique characters. Ben was born in a country that no longer exists, the USSR, and in a city that has since changed its name, Leningrad. Ben could no longer tolerate the Russian winters, so he convinced his parents to emigrate from Russia, to another frozen tundra, untouched by human kindness, Connecticut. Like many American children, Ben’s best friend and babysitter was the television. Ben attended Rutgers University, where he co-founded Slutgers.com, a parody of the university’s website, for which he wrote humorous articles and created branded merchandise. Ben graduated with a double major in Philosophy and Economics, so he knows how to make money, he just doesn’t see the point. After college, Ben began his corporate career as a Fortune 500 management consultant while moonlighting as a stand up comic. He can’t explain his day job, but he was worth every penny. After three years at Accenture, Ben entered a fully-funded PhD program in Neuroeconomics at California Technical Institute (CalTech), a school which boasts 31 Nobel laureates and 0 HBO Comedy Specials. However, he quit grad school to dedicate full time to stand up comedy. Ben’s family thinks that was his best joke ever. Soon after quitting, Ben created the motivational seminar and e-book, How to Find Your Passion, which guides high school and college students towards their future career path. Ben has appeared on FOX’s Laughs, CBS This Morning, National Geographic’sBrain Games, FOX’s The Wendy Williams Show, TruTV’s All Worked Up, The Weather Channel, Rooftop Comedy and been featured as TimeOut New York’s Joke of the Week. Russian Optimism contains thirty of Russia’s most horrifically hysterical nursery rhymes, in English. Each rhyme is 2-4 lines, with an innocent title and a horrible ending. Each rhyme is accompanied by a brightly colored yet twisted illustration of the scenario described to add humor. For example, The Woods: “A little boy found a machine gun. Nothing lives in the woods anymore.” Russian Optimism has been mentioned on Inc., BoingBoing, Elite Daily, Marginal Revolution, The Interrobang, Stage Time Magazine, Fan Girl Nation, The Family Farce, Publisher’s Weekly, The Political Carnival and The NY Post.

While developing his material on the club circuit, Praino further learned the programming business as an intern at the legendary radio station 102.7 WNEW-FM in New York, as a CBS Page and finally as a Desk Assistant at the Evening News With Dan Rather before stand-up comedy eventually won out as his full-time pursuit. His unique background and smart, funny POV earned him regular spots at the Comic Strip Live and Boston Comedy Club and he hosted his own variety show, Miscellaneous, at Galapagos in Brooklyn. It wasn't long before Praino landed some acting roles in indie films, hosted shows for CSTV, and had appearances on "Gotham Comedy Live" and several episodes of "ESPN Instant," where he was in the company of some of his favorite analysts and commentators.
Praino is a sports enthusiast, with a three-sport varsity background of football, basketball and baseball, who lived a dream when he threw out the first pitch at a Mets game in 2015. He finds great reward in coaching high school baseball and volunteering at camps & clinics. While surfing in New York one day in early 2010, it started to snow and Praino thought "Maybe it's time to try L.A." He made the move and happily lives in Venice with his dog, Vince, who has an unusually small trachea.

Author, columnist, and comedian Steve Hofstetter is often called the hardest working man in show-business. With all due respect to the late James Brown.
Hofstetter's national TV debut came on ESPN's Quite Frankly, where Stephen A. Smith yelled at him for three minutes. Hofstetter has also appeared on CBS' Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson, Showtime's White Boyz in the Hood, VH1's Countdown, Sundance's On the Road in America, and ABC's Barbara Walter's Special, where he thankfully did not cry. He is the host and executive producer of Laughs on Fox network, where he only cries occasionally.
One of the top booked acts on the college circuit, the original writer for collegehumor.com has also released six albums. Hofstetter has written humor columns for The New York Times, SportsIllustrated.com, and NHL.com, where he publicly admitted to being a Ranger fan.
After hosting Four Quotas on Sirius Satellite Radio for two seasons, Hofstetter moved to broadcast radio, and his Sports Minute (Or So) was syndicated on over 170 stations and in over 30 newspapers. Hofstetter's second live comedy album, Cure for the Cable Guy, reached #20 on Billboard's comedy charts. His third album, Dark Side of the Room, was the first ever "pay-what-you-want" comedy album, since people were going to steal it anyway. His fourth album consisted of an hour of 100% ad-libbed material, which is, frankly, nuts. And his fifth album hit #1 on iTunes' comedy charts, which is also a bit nuts.
Hofstetter's brutal tour schedule consists of over 100 colleges and dozens of clubs every year, and is fueled by an immense online popularity, tons of press, and a Prius with great gas mileage. He reached 200,000 friends on Facebook (still the world record), 400,000 more on MySpace, and high shelves in grocery stores.
While Hofstetter's live shows are routinely sold out, he is best known for his writing, first published at age 15, mainly to impress girls. At 18, he co-founded Sports Jerk of the Week, an irreverent website featured by press like USA Today's "Baseball Weekly", Sports Illustrated and CNN. And at 20, Hofstetter took a year off of school to head up web content for the New York Yankees. The Yankees won the World Series that year, which would have been wonderful if they hadn't beaten Hofstetter's Mets. Yes, he's also a Mets fan. Poor kid.
While an undergraduate at Columbia University, Hofstetter was a well-read columnist for the Columbia Daily Spectator and a voice of the Lions. After a summer writing for Maxim, ESPN, and Sports Illustrated for Kids, Hofstetter syndicated his column in several newspapers.
Without his glasses, Hofstetter also looks a great deal like Michael Rappaport.
Opening Act for Tracy Morgan, Numerous appearances on Late Night TV..
