New York Comedy Club is NOW in Stamford, CT, and we're bringing all of our favorite comedians with us for a uniquely New York showcase. What exactly is a "New York Showcase?" Every night in the city that never sleeps, the best of the best in the comedy world come together under the same roof to share the stage as part of one incredible show.
With each comic only doing a shorter set, the showcase show allows for an eclectic lineup of comedians with all different styles of jokes and delivery. So whether it's a superstar comedian crafting their latest material for an upcoming Netflix special or the hottest young comic creating a buzz, the New York showcase show is one in which you have to shine if you want to be among the best in the biz. And now New York Comedy Club is bringing this "only in the big city" brand of comedy right into your backyard!
This show features:
Funny, smart, fresh, magnetic. These are just some words that describe the comedy of Neko White. Born in 1993, Neko has been a professional stand-up comedian since 2007 at the age of 14. In 2014, Neko taped his first one-hour stand-up special, Introducing Me. As a personality, Neko has stolen the show on MTV 2’s Hip Hop Hollywood Squares, and Elite Daily’s wildly popular Gen Why show. As a stand-up comedian, Neko has appeared on Axs Tv's Gotham Comedy Live, Sirus XM's "Sway In the morning Show" FOX’s Laughs, Popcornflix’s Live at New York Comedy Club, and a documentary on his life entitled One Mic. A native of Harlem, Neko began his comedy career the first day of high school when a teacher asked if anyone in the class had a talent. Being a shy kid who never thought he would do stand-up, he felt inspired. “Something just came over me that said ‘Go tell jokes.’ I went up in front of eight people and it worked. It’s been comedy ever since.” Now a professional working comedian there is no stopping this twenty something from chasing his dream of being the best comedian he can be.
Sean Donnelly is a comedian. Sean Donnelly grew up in NY and now lives in Brooklyn with his wife and dog Rickles. Sean has a beard and loves making people laugh.
Calise Hawkins is a comedian and writer. Most recently, she wrote for “Hood Adjacent” and “@midnight” on Comedy Central. Calise has appeared as a stand up on numerous television shows including “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon,” “Totally Biased with W. Kamau Bell,” “Shortcoms,” “Stand Up in Stilettos” and “Parental Discretion.” She is also one of the stars of Oxygen's series "Funny Girls". As a writer, Calise’s work has appeared on several major television networks as well as the Whoopi Goldberg pilot, “Spoil Me Mad.” In 2012, Calise was named a New Face at JFL Montreal and has returned to do tapings such as Kevin Hart's digital series "LOL" in 2017. Calise has been a writer for Comedy Central's @Midnight, Comedy Central's "Hood Adjacent" and Trutv's "Comedy KnockOut."
Regarded as one of the hottest rising stars in the city, Phil Duckett is taking NYC by storm. A native of South Carolina, his country grammar and southern charm bring a fresh perspective on life in the big city. It’s been quite the journey - from coaching on the court and chillin at the country club to sleeping on the subway, it’s like he’s lived 9 lives. Commanding the stage with a smile that’ll win over your mama and a mouth that will scare your daddy straight, get ready for the wild truth! You can catch Phil at New York Comedy Club where he just took 1st at the NYCC Competition, on SiriusXM, and at shows all over the city.
