- Come find out what all the funny fuss is about with New York Comedy Club talent bookers and professional comedians. You’ll learn about the industry, how to find what’s funny, structuring a joke and working the stage!Candi Clare is currently the Head of Talent and Development for New York Comedy Club, and has been working in the stand-up comedy industry for the past 15+ years. In addition to booking clubs and festivals, Candi works consistently with organizations in cultivating both live and virtual comedy shows. She currently co-produces a weekly show with "The Daily Show"’s Michael Kosta, and has directed multiple comedy albums and specials, including those of Ashley Austin Morris, Mike Finoia, Maximilian Spinelli, Ben Kirschenbaum, and Mike Bramante, among others. Candi has written and produced a feature film, co-hosted a successful podcast, and comes from a performing arts training background, including conservatories in England and NYC. She is an active board member of the Ladies of Comedy Association. Her years of experience have kept her uniquely in tune with the constantly changing trends in comedy and made her a master in navigating those shifts.Candi noticed there was immense confusion for newer comedians trying to understand and navigate the industry. She started a Comedy Intensive Course in early 2018. The focus is for comedians to learn club dynamics, festivals, representation, how to workshop jokes, tighten sets and collaborate with other comedians.Class is from 6 - 9 PM at our Stamford location.Limit of 10 sign-up per class. - Charles McBee is a razor-sharp NYC stand-up comedian, writer, and unapologetic 80s/90s baby from Toledo, Ohio, serving up nostalgia with a side of truth. Whether he's breaking down the wild logic of gym class dodgeball or reminding you what it meant to record songs off the radio without your mom yelling in the background, Charles brings hilarious, heartfelt commentary about growing up in a pre-WiFi world straight to the stage. - Francesco De Carlo is an Italian stand-up comedian, radio host and TV writer from Rome. His Netflix one-hour stand-up special, “Cose di questo mondo,” aired in 2019 and it is available in 190 countries worldwide.In Italy, in the last three years he hosted “Pour Parler” and “Data Comedy Show”, two panel shows on Rai2, “The Roast of Italy” on Comedy Central and appeared in many TV shows (Rai/Sky/La7/Discovery Channel). He dubbed the character “Mr. Shark” in the DreamWorks film “Bad Guys.” Francesco is also a radio personality on RaiRadio2. His TV show, “Tutta colpa della Brexit” (starred, written and directed by him,) was aired on Rai Tre during the last winter. His book, “La mia Brexit,” has been published by Bompiani. He regularly performs in theatres throughout Italy: “Limbo” and “Bocca mia taci” have been his last sold out tours. - Born in Melbourne Australia, and now living in Los Angeles, multi-hyphenate athlete/performer Jason Ellis has had an illustrious career across many different platforms. A true renaissance man, he has been a professional skateboarder, radio personality, MMA fighter, race car driver, "New York Times" best-selling author, actor, singer, public speaker, past participant and current host of XGames, and most recently stand-up comedy. As the host of the daily "Jason Ellis Show" on SiriusXM radio for more than 15 years, Jason has now transitioned to the podcast world with "The Jason Ellis Show Podcast" and "Hawk vs. Wolf" podcast alongside fellow skateboarder and friend Tony Hawk. A proud father, Jason is also an advocate for the Recovery, Animal Rescue, and LGBTQ+ communities.

- Juston McKinney
- Juston has multiple appearances on “The Tonight Show” and one-hour specials on Comedy Central and Amazon Prime, including “Parentally Challenged” and “On Mid-Life Support." His 5th stand-up special, “On the Bright Side,” is currently streaming on his YouTube channel. Justonwas born in Portsmouth, NH and grew up living on the border of New Hampshire and Maine. In the late 1990s, after spending seven years as a Deputy Sheriff in rural Maine, he made the move to NYC to pursue a career in comedy. He quickly became a regular at nearly every comedy club in the city and "The New York Times" called him “destined for stardom.” Juston would go on to sign development deals with Warner Brothers, CBS, IFC and Comedy Central. He has appeared on numerous Comedy Central shows including his half-hour "Comedy Central Presents" and his own one-hour special. He has appeared several times on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" and "Conan," as well as a Showtime special with Rob Gronkowski. Twice he has performed at the TD Garden with Denis Leary’s “Comics Come Home.” His TV and movie credits include: "The King of Queens," "100 Centre Street," "Zookeeper," and "Here Comes the Boom."
